My Father’s Story

Where History Means Knowledge. Be Informed.

OUR FAMILY

Even with the passage of time, I miss my father every single day.  He died of Mesothelioma much too young at 54 years of age with the exposure primarily from the Navy during World War II.  Rest in Peace Fred Ditkof, father, husband, and friend to many.

The only time that my father wore a beard was to stay out of “jail” for an event in Wayland, Michigan along with other pictures taken over time.

The family while on vacation in Washington D.C. and having taken over the office of Representative Gerald Ford.

Our last family picture while everyone was still in good health, a picture of my Dad with his childhood friends, and his High School graduation picture.
